The womb is a gateway, a portal from which souls reincarnate into flesh once more. A sacred passageway to and from the ether. The womb is a reflection of the Universe. A physical manifestation of the creative thread that unites every thing.
The Universe is not big on straight lines… neither are humans. We are made of complex darkness and stunning light. Our capacity for love is expansive, yet we resist. We are capable of creating amazing things, but we are equally capable of committing heinous acts. The human body is by far one of nature’s most brilliant creations, animated by the soul of the cosmos. Yin AND Yang. Light AND Dark. This AND That.
If you scroll through the newsfeed of your favorite social media platform you are likely to see people crying out for help, validation, and attention. The political infrastructure appears to be collapsing upon itself. Humans feel so invisible that they have replaced intimacy with status updates. And attention whoring has become a PSA for emotional bankruptcy.
Can you imagine what it would be like to live in your body, as you are now… but somewhere else? Living your current experience in familiar land offers but a singular perspective. But being you, in an entirely different environment would change everything.
Partnered sex can be a very expansive. Giving, receiving, and allowing pleasure ranks in the top 10 of human experiences. But it takes time, patience, and willingness to make sex good. Of course, good sex is subjective, as is bad sex. In any event, we can all agree that sex is better with a generous and considerate partner. It’s better when wants/needs/desires have been clearly communicated. And most importantly, sex is better when you “stay in the room.”

Most of us aspire to be in the kind of relationships that make us feel nourished. Whether romantic, familial, or friends, we want to feel seen, heard, loved, and supported. But all too often our relationships fall short. Perhaps because we attract people who do not have the capacity to offer what we need. But if we’re honest, sometimes we are the ones who do not have the capacity to hold that which we desire most.
We are all dynamic creatures, so much more than we seem on the surface. But even knowing that humans surprise me every single day. Through conversations with others, I discover so much about myself. Which is exactly how I felt when I spoke with my new sisterfriend, Hilary Booker. And you get to ear hustle on that conversation in this week’s episode!
This week I am chatting with my sister-friend and emotional accountability partner, Mia Davis. Mia is the kind of friend that listens with her heart. She gives every person she meets an opportunity to be seen.
You ever meet someone and immediately click? Well that was exactly how I felt the first time that I met Biba Atta. She is one of the realest women I have ever met. I love how she shows up in every area of her life. And when she sets an intention she follows through. Can you say inspired?
